A great thing about writing something solely for your own pleasure and NOT to slowly build up a following of people interested in what you have to say1 is that you can just phone it in whenever you want. So, in that spirit: two sentences on things I’ve consumed lately.

Stranger Things Season 4I really hate this trend that “big” TV shows have where they create a whole season full of complicated plot and big plans by their characters only to have nothing matter because there’s an even badder bad coming next season. This only works for shonen manga and some marvel comics, not every show.2

Love that midway through this podcast they just drop the fact that Ted Kaczynski questioned his gender. Finally some potentially trans representation in the domestic terrorist field.

Cabo Bobs Burrito

I blame my weight gain on a lot of things, but specifically on rediscovering Cabo Bobs was a thing and ordering too many burritos with extra sour cream.

Big Brother Drama

I literally cannot believe that after Paloma went home because of a mental breakdown there are still people in the house believing her original take that Taylor is somehow manipulating the house. Nicole (a former cop!) crying about how she’s going to have to throw a competition to force Taylor out and that would ruin her integrity when she’s playing a reality TV game that’s specifically about lying, backstabbing, and working your way to a 750k prize is sooooo ridiculous.3

Longer - Lydia Loveless

Sometimes I need to just sit in a fugue state staring up at the wall or the shower and listen to this song. “Well, maybe I should move away, ‘Cause I don't know why I stay, when it's more than I can sustain” should be etched into my bones.45

This book will likely devastate me in some profound way. Also her description of meals and food is really hindering my goal of actually counting my calories.

Only Murders in the Building feels like a show that your mom would really enjoy in a way that makes you question your tastes. However, i still really enjoy it!

Eldritch Blast at Blackstar

I rediscovered Blackstar too after living in a nearby complex for a year and every one of their beers just hits right. I will admit I only tried the Eldritch Blast because of it is a D&D reference, because I am a miserable gay shill!
